If books on death, near death, and the
afterlife intrigue you, don't miss The Pattern
by Lynnclaire Dennis. The Pattern is a
marvelous book—truly terrific. I literally
couldn't put it down, carrying it everywhere
and reading it straight through, even at
meals when other people were talking to
me! I laughed out loud and cried, too.
Certainly Lynnclaire must be a real live
bodhisattva—the kind who's honest, as well
as hilarious as she grabs your heart.
Although I am neither a scientist nor
mathematician, I sense there may be something
to the enigmatic pattern that Lynnclaire
retrieved from the clear light beyond this
life. Although I don't understand it,
I do know that the story surrounding it is such a
wildly entertaining adventure that I would
recommend this book to
everyone—learned or not—people of all
ages and all walks of life can benefit from
the story surrounding the Pattern. After
all, the subject of death and what happens
when we die is relevant to each of us.
Lynnclaire makes a wonderful teacher and
guide for us there. Her sensitivity and
her wit carry us through these spaces and the
difficulties of life surrounding them—and
they tend to be really hard and gritty and
plain old miserable difficulties of life.
Imagine having to deal with brain damage,
severe depression, co-dependency, and
other issues waiting for you after your
return journey from the bliss and clarity
of death Yet back the author travels to us
in true bodhisattva fashion. I guess she
had to come back because she had such a
great story to tell. The Pattern
Incidentally, I understand that research
is currently underway by a mathematician at
the University of Illinois, and the Pattern
has captivated physicists, psychologists,
medical doctors, artists, and spiritual
leaders around the world—including the Dalai
Lama and others. I would recommend that
everyone take a look at this intriguing
structure called the Pattern and give
it some thought. And I would definitely
recommend to every bookstore to carry
